HR & Administration Officer – Barbados
We are hiring an HR & Administration Officer to manage local and expatriate staff in Barbados and Saint Lucia, overseeing international mobility, administrative support, and regulatory compliance.
At Estel, specialists in comprehensive installations for high-end hotel and residential projects, we are looking to hire an HR & Administration Officer for our branch in Barbados.
The selected candidate will be responsible for the overall management of expatriate and local staff on site, ensuring the proper administrative, documentation, and operational functioning of the team. This role will report directly to the HR Management at headquarters and work closely with the Administration Manager on site.
Mission
To ensure the proper administration of staff in Barbados and Saint Lucia, coordinating immigration procedures, employee support, and control of assigned resources, while guaranteeing compliance with local regulations and internal company policies.
Main Responsibilities
Act as the first point of contact for employees regarding administrative and HR matters.
Prepare periodic reports for HR and Administration Management.
Provide administrative support to HR and Administration departments in other branches.
Coordinate and manage employee mobility procedures with immigration authorities and other entities.
Support the organization and coordination of international travel.
Coordinate and manage staff accommodation search and allocation, including control of services and utilities.
Manage and monitor allowances, fuel cards, SIM cards, and communication tools.
Provide personal administrative support (contracts, letters, timesheet control, absences, vacation tracking, etc.).
Keep control templates updated in Excel (housing, vehicles, staff allocation, payroll, etc.).
Manage recruitment processes: job posting, interview coordination, and communication with candidates.
Handle training requests.
Requirements
Previous experience in personnel administration or HR support roles.
Experience in international mobility, immigration, or work permit management (highly valued).
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
Strong communication skills and ability to work with multicultural teams.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Proactive, solution-oriented profile with operational autonomy.
Desirable
Experience in international environments or construction projects.
Experience managing expatriates or international mobility.
Basic knowledge of local labor regulations.
